商業類聽力題中出現一個片語break the mould 是什麼意思?

 

首先英式和美式拼法不同mould (uk) / mold (us)

mould 可以是模具、模子的意思，例如做蛋糕須要a cake mould

把模子打破就引申為打破常規to be new and different

When the personnel department is choosing between applicants they need to look for someone who’s broken the mould and can think for themselves.

 

P.S.  mould 還有另一個解釋:黴菌。澳洲墨爾有個年度起司節就取名為 MOULD: a cheese festival
