be subject to 在許多商用書信中都會出現，當然也是TOEIC考試中的關鍵字常客。

要看懂這句話的文意就從subject的詞性下手。

subject 這個字除了當”主題”(名詞)之外，還可以當depend依賴(形容詞)

所以be subject to 可解釋為

depending on stated thing happening 取決於，視…而定 Cambridge Dictionary

(eg)

Prices listed here are subject to change without further notice.

價錢如有更改，恕不另行通知。(表示價錢是可以視情況改變的)

Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

條款如有更改，恕不另行通知。
